Refund Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

We'd rather you be happy with FirstClient than locked into paying for something you don't use. This page explains exactly when you can get your money back.

Short version: try it free first, and if a paid plan isn't working out, email us within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it.

1. Try before you pay

Every account starts on the free plan with 3 searches per month and no card required. We recommend using it before subscribing so you know what you're getting. There is nothing to refund on the free plan because there is nothing to pay.

2. 14-day refund window

If you're not satisfied with a paid plan, request a refund within 14 days of the charge and we'll refund that payment in full. This applies to your first payment and to renewal payments alike — if a renewal caught you off guard, tell us within 14 days and we'll return it.

3. How to request a refund

Email support@firstclient.app from the address on your account and tell us you'd like a refund. You don't need to justify it. Include the approximate date of the charge if you have it, so we can find it faster.

4. After the 14 days

Outside the 14-day window we generally don't refund payments for periods already underway. You can still cancel at any time — cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep paid access until the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't pro-rate partial months.

If something went genuinely wrong on our end — an extended outage, a duplicate charge, a billing error — contact us regardless of timing and we'll make it right.

5. How refunds are processed

Refunds go back to the original payment method through our payment processor. We action approved refunds within 5 business days; how quickly it appears on your statement after that depends on your bank or card issuer, typically another 5–10 business days.

6. Exceptions

We may decline a refund where an account has breached our Terms of Service — for example bulk-exporting and reselling data, or using multiple accounts to evade plan limits. We may also decline repeated subscribe-refund-resubscribe cycles on the same account.

7. Chargebacks

Please email us before filing a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback is slower for you than us simply refunding it, and it usually results in the account being suspended while the dispute is open. We'd much rather just sort it out directly.
