Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 2, 2026
This page covers cookies and similar browser storage that FirstClient uses. It's short, because we use very little.
1. What we store, and why
| What | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication session | Essential | Keeps you signed in between visits so you don't have to log in every time you open the app. Set by our authentication provider and stored in your browser's local storage. |
| Search result cache | Functional | Stores the results of your recent searches in your browser for 24 hours, so repeating the same search loads instantly instead of costing you another API call. Kept locally on your device only. |
2. Technically, most of this is local storage
"Cookies" is the familiar term, but the items above are stored using your browser's local storage rather than traditional cookies. The practical difference is minor — both live in your browser and both can be cleared by you at any time — but we'd rather describe it accurately than use the word loosely.
3. Third-party services
If you sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies as part of that sign-in flow, governed by Google's privacy policy rather than ours. When paid plans launch, our payment processor will similarly set cookies needed to complete checkout securely.
4. Managing or clearing storage
You can clear this data any time through your browser's settings — usually under "Clear browsing data", including cookies and site data. Clearing it will sign you out and empty your cached searches; your account, saved leads, and history are stored on our servers and are not affected.
You can also block storage for this site entirely, but the app won't be able to keep you signed in if you do, so it effectively becomes unusable.
5. Changes
If we start using additional cookies — for example product analytics — we'll update this page and the date at the top before doing so.
